Kamal Namou
Kamal Namou has always dreamed of becoming a lawyer, a passion sparked the moment his parents asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. Growing up in a Middle Eastern household, Kamal witnessed the violence unfolding in the Middle East and how many injustices affected his family, solidifying his ambition to enter the legal field. He believes that the law is one of the most powerful avenues for making a meaningful impact in the world.
From an early age, Kamal has been dedicated to helping underserved and underprotected members of society. His family escaped the regime of Saddam Hussein as minority Christians in search of a better life in America. Now, Kamal feels a deep sense of responsibility to help others in his family’s new home achieve their own American dream.
Kamal takes pride in his journey to becoming an attorney. He began at a community college, eventually transferring to the University of Massachusetts Amherst for his undergraduate studies. After working as a paralegal for a few years, he attended Suffolk University Law School, a prestigious institution in Boston, where he grew up.
Kamal relocated to Los Angeles to take the bar exam, drawn by the city’s embodiment of the American Dream through its diversity and welcoming spirit toward immigrants. He believes everyone deserves a second chance and recognizes that the justice system functions best when defendants are fully informed of their constitutional rights, which their attorneys must clearly communicate.
As a defense attorney, Kamal is committed to ensuring that prosecutors prove every element of the alleged crime beyond a reasonable doubt. He understands that many individuals feel the criminal justice system has historically failed them and their families. Kamal’s goal is to change that narrative, empowering his clients to reclaim control of their lives and futures.
