Stephanie Linton
Stephanie Linton has a passion for social justice and has dedicated herself to serving her community throughout her legal and law school career. Ms. Linton is a former Public Defender who has over 8 years of criminal defense experience in multiple counties throughout California.
Ms. Linton earned her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating on the Dean’s list for academic honors. While in law school, Ms. Linton was the recipient of the Emery Law Scholarship and graduated with a certificate in Public Interest and Social Justice, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. She was also the recipient of the Pro Bono Recognition award and served on Moot Court, building her trial advocacy skills. Additionally, Ms. Linton served on the journal of International Law and was awarded outstanding comment for her law journal article, “A Comparative Analysis of Sexual Assaults in Prison.”
In addition to her academic accolades, Ms. Linton has continuously had a profound passion for social justice. While in law school, she externed for the Northern California Innocence Project, where she assisted in exonerating the wrongfully convicted. She also interned for the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s Office, where her desire to be a trial attorney grew.
After graduating, Ms. Linton moved back to her hometown in San Bernardino County, where she zealously advocated for her clients, working at the Public Defender’s office for nearly 7 years. While at the Public Defender’s Office, Ms. Linton handled both misdemeanor and felony caseloads, dealing with everything from infractions to life cases, including 3 strike cases, attempted murders, and child sex crimes. Ms. Linton’s results speak for themselves as she tried over 30 cases to verdict with a stunning record of success.
