Sandra Yaakov

In criminal defense, the difference between a strong case and a weak one is often hidden in the details people overlook.

Sandra Yaakov earned her B.A. in Political Science before attending Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she graduated with honors, earned selection to Law Review, and received CALI Awards in Criminal Procedure and Sex Trafficking Crimes.

During law school, Ms. Yaakov worked closely with her Criminal Law professor as a Teaching Assistant, helping develop examination materials and evaluate legal analysis. The work centered on something she still focuses on now: how arguments are constructed, where they break down, and which details others fail to notice.

After brief exposure to other practice areas, criminal defense remained the only field that felt natural to her. The work requires precision, judgment, and the ability to assess facts without distraction.

Ms. Yaakov approaches each case with one objective: control the narrative before it controls the outcome.
